Technically, the USA should be suspended from the tournament for political interference. This is from FIFA’s own rules:
[FIFA Statutes](https://www.icsspe.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/FIFA-Statutes.pdf) strictly prohibit political interference in football. According to Articles 15 and 19, member associations must manage their affairs independently and without influence from third parties, including governments and politicians. Under the FIFA Disciplinary Code, on-field referee decisions are final and strictly off-limits to political intervention

I am boycotting anything FIFA from here on. I was given tickets to see Colombia v Swiss in Vancouver but I turned them down. Will not watch any more games on TV. FIFA needs to distance itself from the moron and at least abide by its own rules.
The Americans might as well play using bats now that they get free rein to do as they please.
