I am against the current royal family as much as anyone recently, but things like this and sverre and ingrid going to watch matches live is literally the main job of the royal family. I am glad he did this. I am glad they travelled to watch a live match. At least the money spent for flying doesnt just straight up go to some soulless person who doesnt care about the country.

The Norway Royal family, always a good moral standard for the people.
I dont stand strong on either side of the royal family (besides of course being upset about Mette Marit and Epstein etc), but „The King“ is a icon for Norwegians to gather and muster around.
Without any comparisson to WW2 of course, but you do still see this during this World Cup. After EVERY achievment by our national team the supporters flock together outside the castle to row and to „Wake up the King“.
To me, whatever you think of whether we should have a royal family or not, it does show how strong the royal family is embeded in us a symbol of the nation, that we instinctly gather together to celebrate Norway outside the castle
