Oslo will have a free public viewing at „Rådhusplassen“, and 100 000 are expected to come. No serving, just viewing.
If you wanna see Norwegian landscapes and cities that are a bit different, you go to Bergen. Oslo is a big city, got more things to do, but far from anything special.
If you want to visit Norway, and see how it is here. Skip Oslo, go to Bergen. Personally I would rent a car there and drive North along the coast. Norway is fantastic for roadtrips, very beautiful.

To clarify. Op is looking at planes tickets AFTER the final. They’re not coming to watch a game, they’re saying it would cost the same to attend the game in Dallas as to fly to Norway.
As an Oslo local, I say come to Oslo.
Bergen is **only tourists** in July. It would be like visiting Solvang CA… in Oslo you’ll be able to experience Norwegian culture : drink side by side with us in bars, meet us on the hike paths in nordmarka, passive aggressively fight us for a spot to put your towel on hovedøya… OP I promise you coming to Oslo is more than Norwegian enough. People who compare it to any other European capital are deranged.
For nature, go Bergen. I have no idea why anyone want to go to Oslo.
I’m curious how Ålesund would be to visit, I can’t believe the tickets for the World Cup cost so much this year.
Oslo is one of the most skippable cities in Europe. Dozens like it all around Europe, except with better food. Go to Bergen, it’s a much better base for the best of what Norway has to offer.
Oslo is way better than Bergen in summer. The weather is better, There’s fewer tourists, and more stuff to do.
Bergen is not the place to go from mid June to mid August. That’s when we locals evacuate as our city turns to shit from overtourism. Come visit in May instead.
