Nachnamen der Chams

Musa Mehmeti arifi Shabani Hyseni etc are not albanian words, just albanified loan words used by albanians. Usually introduced by the Ottomans but Persian or Arabic in origin.
Surnames are mostly a newer invention so people took their father or grandfather’s name as surname.

Mehmet is the turkified version of the arabic equivalent Muhammed for example.

Most Chams were/are muslim hence the correlation.
