Never thought they’d be doing this sorta sound. Buttery smoove and summery, ready to have my eyes and ears blessed. Their discography truly is diverse

Will be interesting, as this will be the very first I-dle Korean title track that was not composed by Soyeon (although she did write the lyrics).
It is composed by the Nigerian-born singer and producer Abraham „Daramola“ Olaleye.

If there’s one thing you can count on with i-dle, it’s that you never know what to expect. Mono, Crow, and Gimme Dat Love have 3 very distinct sounds all on a single album.
As far as Soyeon not composing, it takes a strong leader to step back and let others take control sometimes. What a gift she has.
I’m hopeful that this TT will wash away some of the criticism from the last few, which I’ll admit I didn’t care for either. Nonetheless respect for i-dle from me always.

gonna be honest i don’t really understand this choice. the first title track without soyeon as a composer and instead of really making an impact by going with something really different, they go with afrobeats that feels like the ‘trend’ was over like more than a year ago (in kpop, obviously afrobeats as itself is not a trend and is just a genre so can’t be over i. general)
although i gotta give them props for having the composer be someone who is actually from where afrobeats originates

This is heavily Tyla influenced.
Also, Rule #1 is don’t drop the soap!

This is gonna EAT… But I’m a bit perplexed by how entirely different it is from ‘Crow’. Like what’s the theme/vibe of the EP, you know?
