Ein abgesagter Star ist zurück. Sein hasserfüllter neuer Film ist eines der verstörendsten Dinge, die ich in letzter Zeit gesehen habe.

    1. The final scene of Uwe Boll’s controversial new film *Citizen Vigilante*, in which a self-appointed avenger played by Armie Hammer executes an entire family of Syrian migrants—father, mother, brother, sister—in their apartment, is going viral on X in all the wrong places. The movie follows Sanders (Hammer), an American veteran visiting an unnamed European city on business, who’s become a *Death Wish–*esque folk hero. He kills this family because the teenage son was part of a gang of migrant kids that raped a local girl and escaped punishment because the judge on their case was overly sympathetic to their situation. (Earlier in the film, Sanders murdered that judge, too.)

The apartment scene is a horror show, borderline snuff, a bloody home invasion mixed with a smug lecture on politics. The parents, Sanders tells them, deserve death because they supported their son; the sister deserves death because she posted on social media that the victim deserved it. In a monotone Hammer maintains throughout the movie, Sanders asks the father, “Are these the values you’re teaching your children?”

“I teach them values from the Quran and values from our family,” the father answers, to which Sanders responds: “Do you know what I think? I don’t think it was the good ones that got out of your country—I think it was the bad ones.” Cue the rain of silenced gunshots, and the rejoicing posts on X.

*“Citizen Vigilante* is one of the most disturbing movies I’ve seen in recent memory, for its reception as much as its content,“ writes Slate’s Rebecca Onion.

„Disturbing“? It’s a fucking Uwe Boll film, it’s unwatchable slop on a technical level.

    4. itsallgood013 on

Conservative frothing at the mouth over a Uwe Boll movie is peak satire. Most easily manipulated group of people in history.

    5. raelianautopsy on

I’m sure the movie is super terrible, but this headline as „disturbing“ is probably giving the movie too much credit.

Crap like this wants to pretend it’s triggering or whatever. Ideally, this racist slop should be mocked and ignored. Showing that you’re offended is what they want

    6. nikkisouthbend on

It’s a snuff film for racists.

And the ultimate irony… killing those associated with a rapist as punishment for not speaking out against his crimes. I mean, do they really want to go down that road?

I’m convinced all these posts praising this movie starring this garbage pail are ads and nothing else

Oh, so it’s as heinous as possible

Why do we give trolls like Boll attention; isn’t that exactly what we’re told not to do?

    10. HussingtonHat on

Literally no one would be talking about this if it weren’t for the articles. Boll has been guaranteed shit for decades, who is manufacturing all these people who apparently care?

    11. CrashOverIt on

It’s a fucking mystery to me how this dipshit keeps getting money to make movies. Have any of his movies actually turned a profit?

    12. Uwe Boll has always exploited controversial material to make up for a lack of talent.

      Uwe Boll = talentless hack.

If he’s doing right wing propaganda then he’s not really “back”, back. He’s just working to pay bills because his options are now severely limited.

    14. I don’t plan to see it. So sick of movies that promote violence and hate. That’s all there is right now. Plus, Armie Hammer is a cannibal wannabe and rapist. He should move in with Donald Trump. Trash actor.

Clips from this started showing up on my youtube shorts-the comments under them were absolutely vile. So many of the comments are about how they are hoping that this movie comes true or now that someone made the movie it will start happening. They are celebrating it as a call to arms. Disgusting and disgraceful and absolutely what I would expect from a guy with cannibal fantasies.

Jonathan Majors has a movie very similar coming out too. Funny how these abusive types show their true colors when exposed.

    17. True_Pirate on

Armie Hammer ready to take a bite out of crime.

He doesn’t leave a trace of the criminals in his wake.

      This man hungers for justice.

Nothing will sate his appetite for revenge

      He butchers the criminals

    18. IGetBoredSometimes23 on

Uwe Boll is using rage bait to promote his movie. Just ignore it so the algorithm won’t give him the satisfaction.

    19. SharpPink_GlitterInk on

The only thing he stared in was the lone ranger a film all of twelve people saw (I am one of the twelve)

    20. BrianOBlivion1 on

It’s genuinely surreal that Uwe Boll (I remember people calling him „Toilet“ Boll) the guy who spent the 2000s being the universal punchline for making some of the worst video game adaptations ever, literally challenged critics to boxing matches, and became shorthand for „how did this get financed?“, has apparently decided his career reboot is courting the far-right outrage economy. That’s a pretty concerning lane for a German to willingly occupy.

Armie Hammer was accused by multiple women of abusive, coercive, and disturbing behavior with the manipulative, predatory vibes of Ted Bundy. Making him the face of a vigilante fantasy isn’t exactly the redemption arc anyone was asking for.

It’s almost impressive that Boll went from „lol worst director alive“ to „being cheered on by the Pizzagate Jack/Elon Musk reply guys.“ That’s somehow an even weirder career trajectory than Postal.

I hadn’t heard anything about Uwe Boll in forever. This is a heck of a way to learn he’s still making crap movies.
