    1. Everything else aside, isn’t it sad that Meta can’t have an original idea? It’s like Zuckerberg reads the latest „big“ trend and decides to go all-in on it

It’s chilling to see how casually this is treated by powerful companies

We need accountability, stronger age protections, and real safeguards against designs that prey on vulnerability, not more glossy launches that put profit before people.

    3. I wonder how scammers will utilize this to help the aging fanbase of meta products to part with their money. Last year they already managed to get 3.5 billion; I’m sure there are some scams to be dreamed up with this one, to the moon!

I’m not a particularly religious man, but Zuckerberg has got to be the anti-Christ, right?

One of the most admirable things about the US was how contained its gambling industry was to specific locations.

Yet another milestone in the slow decline of US exceptionalism and it’s awful to see in my lifetime.

Of course he’s happy to partner with Trump’s family.

      Is anyone surprised?

      Digital puppeteer.

This guy and other tech CEOs have everything to gain by exploiting users.

The only smart thing Zuckerberg has ever done was securing a majority stake of Class B META shares. This guarantees himself immunity from BoD/stockholders voting no-confidence against him.

    9. Remember when he tried to be cool, changed his look and tried to be into MMA. Is he still doing that? Seems like it’s along the same lines with young online gambling.

They want little kids hooked on ads, ai, gambling, everything to keep them docile and stupid.

I just don’t understand how these future idiots will make money they will have to spend to justify their existence to corporations.

    11. UK biased comment here.

I hate how the gambling sector seem to get away with everything. I was listening to the radio yesterday. Something I don’t often do these days and at 1500 on a Saturday you have ads for the bookies. Half the ads I get these days are for gambling and it’s something I would never do.

I can’t advertise cigarettes, alcohol has strict limits but it seems like gambling is fair game.

I used to work next to a bookies and it was the same people going in and out all day every day. At work now as soon as we get a break some of them are loading up the apps. The we have the loot box and handling mechanics so prevalent in games and while I hate to be that guy blaming video games for stuff I do feel it normalises gambling from a young age. Not the mechanic itself but more the spend real money for a chance to win instead of collect in game points for a chance to win.

The gambling sectors need more regulation

Zuckerberg doesn’t have original ideas. How the hell he’s still the ceo is beyond me. Meta glasses? Failure. Horizon worlds? Failure. Hell he lost the ability to force ads upon users in the apple ecosystem. All he does is chase ideas. And if there is one billionaire I really dislike who doesn’t give a damn about anyone it’s Zuckerberg. He will manipulate, cheat, lie, backstab and scam people aka customers aka users to make a buck.

    13. Meta has never succeeded at selling anything directly to the consumer, so my guess is this app isn’t a prelude to their own gambling app, but rather a source of data to sell to other gambling apps.

    14. Literally not a single original idea was thought up by Mark Zuckerberg. It’s either bought, copied, or stolen. Anything „original“ is DOA, like the Metaverse.

Gross. As if I already didn’t hate this scumbag enough! World will be a better place when he’s gone and his shitbag, predatory company fails.

    16. > “The social conversation is the payoff as people aim to show off how good they are at predicting things to their friends.”

Just pathetic…. This is social garbage.

    17. Can’t imagine why. It’s almost like he’s cool with ruining people’s lives in order to make some extra money.

      Weird.

Strong consumer protection, anti-monopoly, AI and data privacy laws or the guillotine, which will it be?

Zuck is nothing more than a modern day drug dealer slinging dopamine hits to children to get them hooked.

No other way to slice it.

These fascist pricks desperately need as many as possible addicted to whatever they can to keep them down and prevent the people from doing well. Prison for these tech bros idiots!

Farmville and other games on facebook were early motivators to keep people clicking on facebook. Are they too much different than gambling? clicky click click….

    22. I wouldn’t be surprised tbh. Facebook is full of so many scam advertisements it’s not funny.
I found out the hard way tbh , saw a sale advertised by a company I normally shop with. I clicked saw some good deals and bought , or so I thought , contacted the company directly when the receipt email looked off from their normal ones.

Found out from the company that fb has a major problem with accepting adds from scammers.

I will give the scammers their props , it was impossible for me to tell the difference between the companies actual site and theirs.

The person who replied to my customer complaint email , hinted that it’s a ongoing problem that fb doesn’t seem to care about as long as the revenue keeps coming in😳

    23. All forms of gambling should be illegal, including the current stock markets. It only benefits the exploitation class

The Zuck Special: Hey this thing is making other people lots of money! Let’s add it to Facebook!
