We’re entering the days after the fall of the Soviet Union, where everything was being bought up and resold on the black market.

People from Central Europe will never be able to understand or comprehend such rampant corruption

As a hgv driver. You wouldn’t be able to pay me enough money in all of Mordor to be bopping about in a bomb waiting to happen. Especially with all the Special Self Combustion Operations……

    8. That is hilarious. In the West during WWII, not only was hoarding illegal, it was broadly shamed. Not so much in Russia these days, I see.

about 1700 pounds per container. 26 containers, just over 22 tons (roughly 20,000 kg). Around 6700 gallons.

    10. Typical Russian behavior – fuck everyone else for personal gain. The entire society is derived from peasants

    11. Anything causing more pain to the apathetic Russians is a cause for celebration

This could easily be an official requisition, either civil authorities or military. Think early days of the Covid lock down when governments were grabbing up all the masks.

Doesn’t mean it won’t be resold at a high price, but it may be official.

Arbitrage is the practice of capitalizing on temporary price discrepancies of identical or similar assets in different markets.. If the gas station was selling at the market rate, there would be no incentive.

    19. This truck has a temporary license plate registered in Belgorod, a region bordering Ukraine, and the clerks are assisting by closing the station after them. So this is most certainly for the military and not a civilian „fuel reseller“.
