      There are probably upsides and downsides of them going to Thailand and South Korea instead for sure

      But is it all rainbow and sunshine in Japan? And isn’t it what Japanese people want anyway?

      TLDR but the less Chinese tourists the better. Not like any of the touristy spots are hurting anyways

      I can understand why Japanese people don’t like China—after all, relations between the two countries aren’t good right now. But why disparage Thailand and South Korea for no reason at all? Thailand and South Korea haven’t done anything to Japan.

      The Chinese have a huge country I don’t see why they even need to go abroad.

      I was in South Korea last week.

      Their relief they felt when having a non-Chinese customer was palpable. And when I spoke Japanese, they smiled.

      According to JNTO, inbound tourism in Japan has seen slight decline (1.1% for January to March) since last year. So, it’s not getting better; at best, not much effect.

      There was one guy who was killed in a nightclub. But the title and article make it sound like lots of people are facing this situation. That more of a Chinese propaganda than actual Chinese propaganda.

      Thailand had a scandal last year and Chinese tourist stopped coming, not much better this year.

      Not sure why it’s suggested they’re coming more than normal to Thailand.
