Live in Östersund and haven’t seen a mosquito in years. But yeah except that

Well, we just passed the summer solstice so at this time of year, yes, that’s the sky in many parts. The mosquitos? Not where I live.

I will assume that you exposure is a bit low because it should be brighter. But, yeah, nordic summers for you!

Edit: btw, this year is an extremely bad mosquito year in the whole of Sweden (good for humans) due to dry and fairly cold spring. I would assume that you will have to wait quite some years before you get as few mosquitos as we have this year.

    4. Yes and in the winter you have the same amount of light at 3:30 PM but the color of the sky is I wanna fucking kill myself.

Pretty much. A few years ago when in Väddö I had the pleasure of sleeping in a bivouac around midsummer. I found out the hard way that my net hood did not protect my nose, and that the infernal hummingbird-mosquito hybrids could bite through my socks. But I’ll be damned if sitting on that gentle slope and watching the sun rise over the sea wasn’t worth it.

Depends on where you are and when (during the year). Stockholm right now: I’d say it looks too dark. If you would be in northern parts it would look like noon.

    7. Looks dark, but I am in the North, much brighter here all night at the moment as long as the weather is not completely overcast.

      bländar bara av sitt sken.

      Skymningsbård blir gryningstimme

      varken tidig eller sen.

      Insjön håller kvällens ljus

      glidande på vattenspegeln

      eller vacklande på vågor

som långt innan de ha mörknat

      spegla morgonsolens lågor.

      Juni natt blir aldrig av,

      liknar mest en daggig dag.

      Slöjlikt lyfter sig dess skymning

och bärs bort på ljusa hav.

    9. Summer evenings and mornings are quite different in Stockholm. Stockholm för alltid🫶🏽

    10. There’s barely any mosquitoes if you live in residential/urban areas at least
