Can you put up a photo of the material that was used for the thing? Usually theres a code like „PP“ next to a recycle triangle ♻️
If it was PVC then something around the 60 will already cause this deformation
I want to know what temperature your dashboard might have reached

Yes, and yet still some idiots keep their kids or pets inside the car, while just going to the poist office for a second. Their brain probably already melted.

Yes also the inside of your car is even hotter than the almost 40 degrees outside thats why you shouldnt leave children or pets in the car at these temperatures they will die.

That’s why you should not let your dog in the car.

Incidentally, I’ve not tried this myself (I don’t drive), but apparently there is a method of cooling the inside of your car faster than the A/C can, [as demonstrated by Professor Hannah Fry](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/oKRcbRGDC6U).
But yes, left in direct sunlight a car can heat up very quickly to dangerously high temperatures. That is why you never leave pets or babies inside your car even for a couple of minutes, and even with a window cracked open. Often people, especially exhausted parents, can genuinely forget (this has tragically already happened a couple of times this summer), so make a habit of always double-checking before you leave the car even if you *think* your children/pets are somewhere else.

Dann it, exactly this happened to me this morning and I even thought „maybe I should post this on Reddit“
Admittedly yours scrunched up a little more than mine.
Opportunity missed.

Hopefully it never gets so hot that the car dashboards start doing this like they sometimes do in Texas. If that happens here I think I’ll move to Antarctica.

I still don’t understand why people buy these plastic pieces of crap. What’s the advantage over a paper one?

It hit 40.2° here at the Days Peak.

Had the same happening to me 25 years ago with a rented videotape.
At least I didn’t have to rewind it.
