On June 24, 2023, Russia killed two teens in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region: Tyhran Ohanesian and Mykyta Khanhanov.
After the start of the Russian full-scale invasion and occupation of Berdiansk, both boys openly maintained a pro-Ukrainian stance.
In May 2023, Russian occupation authorities formally charged both 16-year-olds with “railway sabotage,” accusing them of trying to disrupt logistics to the Russian military.
They faced up to 20 years in prison.
However, boys were brutally executed shortly after.
