Posti hat zwar seine Nachteile, aber ich hatte jetzt doppelt so viel Unmut wie FedEx und habe mich gefragt, warum es in Finnland nicht zu funktionieren scheint.
Ich wartete auf ein Paket aus Estland, nichts Besonderes, kein Zoll, keine große Sendung.
Sie haben offenbar versucht zu liefern (zwischen 10 und 22 Uhr, nicht, dass ich ein Leben oder eine Arbeit habe), ich habe sie gebeten, es zu einer Abholstation zu bringen. Seitdem liegt das Paket in Vantaa und es kommt die Nachricht, dass es so ist "auf dem Weg" das heißt irgendwo in ihrer Einrichtung.
Ich wohne 30 Minuten entfernt, also dachte ich, ich hole es vielleicht einfach ab. Es scheint extrem, dass die Zustellung eines Pakets aus Estland fast zwei Wochen dauert. Sie schicken mich jedoch weg, sie haben es nicht mehr. Sie gaben es einem Subunternehmer. Also… niemand scheint zu wissen, wo es ist.
An diesem Punkt hätte ich mit der Fähre nach Estland fahren und zum Verkäufer fahren können, es selbst abholen, zurückfahren (und dabei ein wenig Wein kaufen) nach Helsinki, und das sieben Mal!
An dieser Stelle frage ich mich, wie FedEx (oder UPS) angesichts ihrer Erfolgsbilanz in den nordischen Ländern in Finnland agieren. Liegt es an der schrecklichen Beschäftigungssituation? Oder gibt es einfach kein großes Netzwerk?
Wenn ich wählen könnte, würde ich jetzt immer mitmachen posti.fi wenn ich könnte

These foreign (in this case, I mean based outside the Nordic countries) parcel delivery services seem to care very little about personal package deliveries, including from a retailer to a individual customer. The only reason they operate in Finland is to fulfil some company-to-company services. That is at least my guess, because Fedex, UPS, and DHL to some extent all seem to be awful every time I’ve had to give them a try. They just never get it right.
It doesn’t.
I don’t think they still use any pickup points so unless you’re home when the grace to try delivrey, your only option is to pick it up. From the airport where their office is.
Only really makes sense for businesses.
They are passable for b2b services (we regularly get deliveries through both for work). For individuals – complete crapshoot
FedEx consumer returns suck bad since they have only one Office at Vantaa and I couldn’t get trough any service channels except going to wait 30min at their office.
I think posti parcel services are currently ok, they call before home delievier. Letter mail sucks though.
It doesn’t. It’s horrible. DHL works. But both FedEx and UPS are bad here.
Maybe regional thing and your experience might vary. But this is my experience at least.
