Thanking all those wishing to get rid of the bottom half. It’s just where I was born and raised, where all of my family lives, where my daughter was born and raised and where most of our memories were made. It’s just where all of our cultural heritage stands, I would dare say world heritage, because that little section down there held one of the greatest sieges the world has ever seen. Holds the world’s oldest temples, all of our capital cities, some of the nicest cathedrals in world and so much more. This island is so small that I have never understood the concept of north and south.

If it was West vs East, I’d say East….but there’s so much history there.

Counterargument to all the „delete the south“ votes: if you delete the bottom half, then after one or two more rounds there will be nothing left to delete.

The next line will be Gozo vs North, and, while every sensible person would obviously vote to keep Gozo, there’s not enough Gozitans here so it’ll be deleted. The next line will be Mellieha vs St Paul’s Bay and everyone will obviously vote to delete St Paul’s Bay because, well, logic and reason. But then, everyone will be jealous of Mellieha’s success and will vote to delete it, so we’ll be left with Armier as the sole survivor of Maltapocalypse.

Although, to be frank, Armier already looks like a post apocalyptic colony, so maybe it all makes sense in the end

Depends on the context I guess. Historical? Culinary? Traditional? Keep the lower half. Political? Remove the lower half if you want the PN to maybe have a chance (just a friendly dig) 🤣
