      Genuinely a genius move.

I wonder who the suppliers are? Russia makes its own but are there any other *donors* to their cause? The arms manufacturers are disgustingly capable, sorry, I’ll be politically correct, *likely* to arm ~~both~~ ALL sides of any conflict.

The reverse-engineering pipeline has been running since 2022 — this just makes the output shareable at scale. What’s underrated here isn’t the captured hardware, it’s the institutional knowledge Ukraine is building about exactly where Russian supply chain quality breaks down. That catalog has value well beyond this war.

    4. Ukraine did right when they put a comedian in the President’s spot! This is genius.

    5. I hear they have great analysis of the Russian workhorse battlefield armor, the T-54 tank. Includes various improvised reuse opportunities for the turret, which is apparently easily removed.

    6. Well, in the other hand Ukraine is the main source for the Russians to reverse engineering of western technology

This is a genius move for one other reason: now no other country will want to even allow Russia access to its tech or to sell them the stuff. Because when Russia uses and loses that tech on the battlefield, your country will be weaker internally. You might as well let everyone see your homegrown tech right now.

I wonder how much electronic warfare stuff they’ve found. That’s supposedly a key area where Russia is ahead of NATO.

(ofc, electronic warfare stuff isn’t going to be posted online though lol)

Actually brilliant maneuvering. This way the world builds a publicly available catalogue of tech being used by the guys most likely to use it aggressively to conquer a nation (outside the US, of course but generally we at least try to have a cassus belli before we go to war, or we did…)

Meaning the very tech used to attack people will have more counters because more people know about it. Pure brilliance.

    10. Every passing day, the Russians are surprised by how much the Ukraine invasion plan is not going as planned.

Even if Russia eventually wears Ukraine down, Ukraine will never be forgotten.

Can Ukraine be any more awesome?

Considering what they have been subjected to and how they are responding…in all seriousness, Ukraine should get the Nobel Peace Prize.

You don’t really need to do that. The more you deploy and use equipment, the more opportunities your opponent gets to find ways to destroy it. Iran has managed to destroy US made equipment without capturing it.

As for Russia, the systems that actually matter usually aren’t the ones getting captured. Their key assets still manages to hit their intended targets.
