      I haven’t gone swimming in the sea for over 2 years now. It’s a damn travesty, what we’ve done to this island.

      A gem turned into a Shit Island. Whenever I go to Greece I always end up wondering why the fuck people come to Malta for the sea. we do have some beautiful spots (or at least, we used to have), but they are still nothing in comparison to what Greece (but also Cyprus Turkey) has to offer.

      Would this be affecting Cyprus as well? When I visit during summer months I go into sea daily.

      Is this the case for the water in Gozo as well? We are going to Malta next week and reading this post I wish I had read more about it previously.

      disgusting, fucking labourparty not only did they fuck and ruin our air, our roads, construction industry, energy sector, population, now they have also managed to fuck up our sea water. shame on you! Ofc they don’t care since they can swim in their private pools whilst we have no where to swim lol !

      Coming to Malta tomorrow for the first time… So I better not swim in any beach in the St Julians-Valletta radius?

      Is this just Balluta and Sliema? What about the other beaches in the country?

      Malta is going to turn into an island city, surrounded by polluted sludge if development doesn’t stop soon.

      There needs to be a balance, you can’t expand forever on such a tiny island.

      Greed will ruin everything if you let it.

      I live in Sliema, and I still haven’t gone swimming this year because the water in the central area is constantly contaminated. It’s unbelievable. I’ve also read that some beaches in the north and south are facing the same issue. It’s crazy that on an island surrounded by the sea, you can’t even enjoy a swim because the water is polluted
