what happen to them is so inspiring… gradually going up. feel like it’s rarer these days where u see groups thrive organically and without big company push… i do 2nd/3rd there were more mid tier groups from small companies thriving too but 4th/5th gen it felt less. Kinda wish my other nugus favs could have a rescene moment. Also random but i remember minami from my teenage girl days and i remember being pissed she didn’t debut in classy 😭 kinda crazy how things have changed now wow. I still support both.

What a journey! Not a group I’ve kept up with, but I loved their debut. Woni really had $5 and a dream.

Rescene always had quality music so I knew if they got that push of luck, they’d make it big. I’m hoping they manage to keep up the momentum!!

Rescene always had the music, and were selling quite well for a small label, but between the driving lessons and Woni’s channel they finally found the way to a major breakthrough. I’m so curious how their next „real“ title track (not the gen 2 cover and not the Pokemon song) will sound, and how the gp will receive it.

if i had posted something like this, it would have been locked with a note from the mods to post in the group’s own sub

It’s heartwarming to see that these stories still exist in kpop! I hope Rescene will have a successful future

This is great! I’ve been a fan of Rescene since their debut and they continue to release nothing but incredible songs so I’m glad to see them have organic success in SK!

I actually grew up on that island that woni is from and it’s been very surreal that my little island is on everyone’s radar thanks to her

Good for them. Woni is the Yoo Jae Suk of Geoje right now.

I’m so proud of them!! I’ve been following them since debut and I just knew if they got the right song or the right viral moment they’d be a hit. And sure enough, here they are!! 💙

I hate that the article is AI but I’m happy that the girls are getting a chance to show what they’re made of

I love when things like this happen. There are so many smaller idol groups that don’t get the recognition they deserve and I’ve always loved RESCENE’s music! The article is well written too. They work so hard and its paring off for them 🩷

fantastic writeup! I’ve liked their music and heard about their virality but this piece explains the timeline very well

They’ve had an incredible story already so far and it’s very reminiscent of how Brave Girls/BB Girls blew up years later through a single moment captured on video going viral and making people look back at their hard work.
Woni opening a youtube channel and being allowed more freedom than most idols has been so refreshing, it reminds me a lot of how QWER record their videos and can just be themselves.
Really hope the new fans and onlookers support them in their next proper comeback.

I’ve been following Woni’s channel since it came out because I love gyarus but I never ever ever expected anything like this. It’s like watching history being made.

I’ll be honest, as far as I was aware this was just another nugu group that would occassionally pop across my youtube feed but I never checked them out. Readying this story actually makes me want to root for them, because it reminds me a lot of Dreamcatchers, though perhaps in a more modern setting. Regardless if I end up enjoying their music (going to check it out later), I’m very happy that they’ve been able to find a foothold on success in such an organic way. Hopefully it continues for them!

I feel like I participated in this because I’ve had Love Attack on my phone for years now 😭 it’s great to see groups with good music getting more popular
