    1. But there is still uBlock Origin Lite though, right?

It’s not the same, but I felt it could do as much as I needed.

Adgard is not enough or not capable of blocking many trackers and advertisements.?

Chrome has gone from the the first thing I’d install to the last thing I would ever install.

I can’t be the only one, and Google must see less and less usage from it.

      And yet… They continue?

The time to stop using Chrome was 2-3years ago, how much more reason do people need?

    5. Don’t care. I’ve been using Firefox for like 21 years now with no reason to ever switch.

    6. The end of CHROME is now weeks away, not months. Google loves shooting themselves in the foot

Honestly I uninstalled. Chrome doesn’t do anything for me that Firefox doesn’t. If I have to I’ll learn Linux distros and switch to that. It’s 2026. I don’t play around with having to watch ads anymore. You can’t tell me we’re the greatest country on Earth and then make me watch ads. You just can’t. It makes me think violent thoughts.

Bye Chrome, thanks for trying to make the internet a less safe place with all the ad malware bullshit.

    9. I switched to Firefox last year when ubo was getting fucked on YouTube. So fucking easy, you export all your everything. Haven’t had any issues since. Make the switch

    10. The end of ANY effective content-blocker, really. Instead of blocking anything from being downloaded and their associated scripts running, all you’ll be able to do is visually hide crap after the fact.

    11. uBlock Origin Lite has been out as a response for how many years now?

Heck, I even use it on my Chromebook

Firefox has room and open arms for you all!

      also has SponsorBlock for YouTube!!

    13. People still use Chrome? I use browsers that don’t insist I browse unprotected.

    14. Switch to uBlock Origin Lite.

Works just as good for the purpose of being an ad blocker.

    15. What a coincidence, the end of me using chrome is now weeks away, not months

So is the end of me using Chrome, weeks away. Without a good ad blocker, the internet is a cesspool.

    17. And so will the remnants of users. They can tell themselves all they want that they’re fine with those users going, but Google’s lifeblood depends on user metrics. So if they’re using other tools, they ain’t using Google’s tool and that’s even less revenue than people avoiding the adpocalyse that is the wider internet.

What about Chromium? Which is what browsers like Vivaldi are based on? I’ve been trying to search this but haven’t gotten a straight answer.

And this is why you don’t use a browser made by a publicly traded advertising company.
