Whoever came up with this collaboration idea is a genius. The more I think about it, the more it feels like a win-win for all three groups. LSF and Illit gain additional exposure in the U.S., while Katseye gets a boost in Korea and especially Japan, which seems to be a key market HxG wants to grow.
What makes the collaboration work so well is that it taps into today’s internet culture. Anyone with a significant online presence is bound to attract haters, so the song’s message feels incredibly relevant. If they had chosen a different topic, I don’t think it would have resonated in quite the same way. The lyrics speak directly to the artists’ own experiences, making the song feel both unique and universal at the same time.
About the performance, they ate!!! Especially the hair choreo bit at the end lol.
