    1. We should fully separate ourselves from the state of Israel. It’s good money after bad to spend to support these Palestinians who deserve our help, if we are also still supporting the state of Israel.

Stop working with them, stop buying their products and services. Cut them off financially and also help the people they are hurting.

    2. Our government continues to take an objectively wrong position on the conflict, a strictly incorrect approach no matter what our values are.

We support Israel, including its armed forces, at substantial cost. We’re also giving aid for the people hurt by the settlements. I’d call it morally abhorrent that we side with the settlements and apartheid, myself, but our approach here would be strictly incorrect no matter what moral code a person follows. It is *obviously* and *inherently* misguided to give resources to the invaders and the invaded at the same time.

This is like if we funded an arsonist and their local firefighting department, simultaneously. That would be the wrong course of action to take if we wanted more buildings to burn down, and it would be the wrong course of action to take if we wanted fewer buildings to burn down. Whatever we want to happen, we’re spending resources in total opposition to our values.

I can’t even come up with a historical parallel for a policy failure, because this is such an obviously wrong way to act. When we shipped aid to the USSR in WWII, we didn’t simultaneously give charitable status to *Whermacht* recruitment and support groups inside Canada. When we sanctioned South Africa over apartheid, we didn’t send the government tanks at the same time.
