Der Präsident der Türkei, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, sandte eine Glückwunschbotschaft an Premierminister Nikol Pashinyan zum Sieg der Bürgervertragspartei bei den Parlamentswahlen.
Die Nachricht lautet:
"Im Namen meines Volkes und in meinem Namen gratuliere ich Ihnen aufrichtig zum Erfolg der von Ihnen geführten Zivilvertragspartei bei den Parlamentswahlen in der Republik Armenien am 7. Juni 2026 und wünsche Ihnen viel Erfolg bei der dritten Regierungsbildung.
Ich bin voll und ganz davon überzeugt, dass Ihre strategische Vision, langfristig Frieden und Stabilität in der Region zu schaffen und die notwendige Zusammenarbeit in dieser Richtung sicherzustellen, erfolgreich umgesetzt wird.

That’s one of those cases where it might have been better not to congratulate him at all. Similar to when Trump endorsed Orbán in Hungary – within society it tends to provoke a negative reaction. I’m just joking)
This move will please the Turkish people, who will temporarily forget about high inflation, authoritarian rule, and repression. They will cheer that the great Turkish state has finally tamed the Armenians. Then, a week later, they will continue to blame all of Turkey’s problems on Erdogan. Neither Turkey nor Azerbaijan can ever be trusted. It is only a matter of time before these two countries descend into political crisis or even civil war. Armenians must prepare for this, forging reliable allies, purchasing weapons, developing indigenous weaponry, and training their own armies.
But Russia hasn’t yet, lol what a joke.
