My question on the late night shows has nothing to do with politics. Do they really make money? Mainly because broadcast ratings keep going down and they have a massive studio with full band etc. Versus or 2 people podcasting with $10 in cost per show. I know the Jimmies and Colbert used to make money, but the world is changing whether I like it or not.
Not happy about 60 minutes. Hopefully all the fired people get together and start a new show called 65 minutes

The trouble here is that neither Bari Weiss nor her billionaire patrons care in the least what anyone says, least of all a CBS employee, because this has been the plan all along. Run a revered media institution into the ground, keep Americans fighting and divided in the Comments sections, while they keep running to the bank.

Years ago, conservatives figured out that responsible, reality-based journalism was a major stumbling block to their quest for absolute power, and turning America into a dictatorship benefitting the rich. So they embarked on a project to convert all „news“ into FoxNews-style rightwing propaganda.
The best time to’ve done something about this was 20 years ago. The *second* best time would be right fucking now.

Excellence, integrity, veracity, intelligence and honest information would inform the public and an informed public would be able to make correct decisions.
