Er ist ein paar Mal auf meinen LinkedIn-Feed gestoßen, in dem er verrückte Dinge darüber gepostet hat, dass er keinen Job findet, wie fremdenfeindlich die Finnen sind und dass er Arbeit verdient usw.
Aber jetzt finde ich sein Instagram-Konto voller Videos, in denen er fordert, ins Gefängnis geworfen zu werden. Ich spreche darüber, wie er „dort alles bekommen würde, was er braucht“ usw.
Das Besorgniserregende für mich ist, dass einige seiner Beiträge sich ausdrücklich darauf beziehen: „Warum muss ich gewalttätig sein, um eine Zelle zu bekommen?“ Was mich glauben lässt, dass dieser Mann buchstäblich kurz davor steht, jemanden zu verletzen.
Ihm geht es eindeutig nicht gut, er hat eindeutig psychotische Tendenzen und Verhaltensweisen und erhält keine Medikamente oder Behandlung. Ich kenne seine Umstände nicht. Aber bevor er tatsächlich einen echten psychotischen Zusammenbruch erlebt und auf der Titelseite von Ilya-Lehti landet, können wir vielleicht alle ein paar Anfragen zur Gesundheitsuntersuchung an die Polizei in Vantaa schicken?
(Obwohl ich denke, dass wir alle wissen, dass sie nichts unternehmen werden, um ihm Hilfe zu verschaffen).
Vielleicht dient das alles nur der Aufmerksamkeit. Aber das Ganze ist sehr besorgniserregend. Es ist alarmierend, einfach nur seinen Namen zu googeln und dieses Verhalten in all seinen sozialen Netzwerken zu sehen, und die Leute scheinen einfach zu ignorieren, wie unheimlich das alles werden kann. Ich hasse einfach das Gefühl, einen Autounfall zu sehen, bevor er passiert. Dieser Mann wird jemanden verletzen.
Tl;dr, ein amerikanischer Typ aus Vantaa, bettelt darum, ins Gefängnis geworfen zu werden, weil er behauptet, er könne in Finnland weder einen Job noch medizinische Hilfe bekommen und sein Leben sei er. Deshalb macht er immer wieder alarmierende Aussagen darüber, dass er im Gefängnis sein möchte.

Yeah i have seen his TikTok videos, he is begging to be locked up in finland, its annoying to see him like that, if he is not happy here he should go back where he comes from.
If you are afraid of yours or someone else’s safety, you can make the call yourself. Not telling you to do it, or not to do it, you are presumably an adult. If you call 112, they are the ones who make the decision to send the police or ambulance.
If he wants into a cell so badly, do financial crime. Easier to walk down the road in the middle of the night and steal an expensive car than literal murder. (For legal reasons don’t do crime, it is illegal to do crime)
Either way this guy seems nuts. If you’re concerned, call the police and hand them these for starters

He’s been posting concerning stuff on LinkedIn/Facebook for a while now. I once replied to one of his posts that he could redirect his energy to upskilling or posting content that shows his skills, boyyyyy did he lose it.
now i can see finns being xenophobic to certain cultures but ive never heard of it against western countries/cultures
He reminds me of the Ukrainian dude in the Netherlands a few years ago who ended up stabbing several people in Amsterdam because he wanted to go to prison in the Netherlands. They did some digging into his motives afterwards and it turned out the war had broken him and he had told his fellow soldiers that his dream was to live a safe and cozy life behind bars in western Europe. At the time no one took him seriously, but after he was discharged from the army he went through with it. I can honestly understand that compared to the front lines, life in a Dutch prison looks like paradise
With this particular person I get the feeling he has tunnelvissioned on the prison idea as well and thus will not accept help in any other form, believing that it won’t work or that it would only be short term and thus ineffective. And sadly for people like that there isn’t much we can do. The best course of action is to report to the police (as you already did) and then stay the fuck away from him and avoid provoking him at any cost

There are plenty of hateful posts about Nordic prison system because it is like „spoiling“ people instead of punishing. No matter what you say about rehabilitation and such, no impact.
I kinda get that a homeless person would see those as „dream flats“ but for Nordics they are bare minimum that nobody envies because when you need flat, you get one. For some even having your own bedroom with table is too much and that there are kitchen facilities.
So we are known around the world for our affordable health care, social security (which sucks by European standards) and „dream-like“ prison system. So this dude had these in mind when coming here.
I do agree that someone should have provided him mental health care. Living with trauma is torture. He is so unhinged I dunno we he had not gotten any.
But he cannot blaim our country, he should blaim his. And if he wanted finns to help with that, this is the worst approach.
I do share the consern that he is dangerous. If you see him around call the police for threatening behaviour.
As an American, I’d like to apologize for our weirdos getting loose. By the way, if he gets booted back, he’ll get Medicaid (free health insurance for poor and disabled people), food assistance, and perhaps public housing until he gets on feet.

I used to follow him on Linkedin but his posts kept being too negative so I unfollowed him. He has been begging for a job for years now. It is so sad. Truly sad. I wish he could go back to Canada or the US because finland is obviously not working out for him.

I once met online this one guy, he was selling a service for us, and we connected in LI. Soon after he was unemployed and has spent numerous years trashing everything and everybody in Finland. And he was loud, I believe no day passed without a post from him. Free speech, all good – but for fucks sake I would never hire him after reading his posts. Why would we want to add a team member who is hating half of the colleagues because they were born in Finland? If I remember correctly, he got a job finally – in his home country. One lunatic aside, but he got a lot of support from other immigrants. Well, what can we do? I’m sorry? Because you chose this horrible place?

I would say that if your goal is to get to the prison, Finland is the one of most difficult places to achieve that.
