First term he tried in some ways (I didn’t vote for him in 2016 but it looks like he tried to do some of what he ran on back then) but second term has been him just helping his friends and family get rich and fucking over the everyday people who didn’t vote for him. It was a revenge tour of sorts, he was furious about the 2020 election and lied to get re-elected with all of these promises. People thought he would make good on them, nope.
It was just politics as usual. Promise the world and deliver nothing. Keep your followers convinced by not voting for you it’ll get way worse. Rinse and repeat for both sides

I guess that’s what happens when forced to choose between two of the worst candidates ever. It seems every American election is forcing voters to vote against someone, rather than for decent policy. This will not change until better candidates are nominated.
My opinion is it did start off genuine the first term (to a point) but the Epstein files going public in a way they can’t control, and his painfully obvious association with them, forced Trump to now obey Netanyahu’s every order and neglect the US and its needs entirely.
