      I said it during trump 1.0, and as a canadian. Europe needs to be united, not just for Europeans, but as an example for the world. An example of what humanity could be. The pope is not wrong. With Trump 2.0 ripping the legs out from western democracy, science based policies on climate change, and empathy towards those less fortunate, a united europe is needed now more than ever. Over the past few years I’ve started to look more towards europe for comfort as the world seems to descend into darkness. Be the light we all know you can be.
