How does the government go about lowering their deficit and cutting costs, is it by getting rid of expensive pet projects that are ineffective like the gun buyback, or maybe it’s cutting massive consultation fees, or it could even be drastically reducing foreign welfare.

Nope it’s cutting parks Canada jobs, CFIA jobs and Agrifood-AgriCan jobs among others. At least Mark Carney would never lie about this kind of stuff and campaigned on cuts not caps right!

Everyone knows that maintaining our parks is not important at all and really why do we need to keep them public anyway? It’s probably easier to sell them off to a foreign investor at this point, might even be able to bundle them together in a package with the airports and ports.

No way we can afford to have well staffed and cared for parks—we have oil subsidies, auto manufacturer bailouts, and wealth taxes to cut. Haven’t you all heard? We’re to accept less and enjoy it lest the Westons and other oligarchs see the line go down.

Our national parks are a huge source of tourism revenue. If anything, I would be looking at finding ways to slightly increase revenue garnered from international tourists, without putting them off.

These kinds of cuts show a severe lack of national pride on Carney’s part. I wouldn’t be shocked if he starts doing what Trump has been doing in the US, and moving to sell national park lands.

Just remember that when you can’t get into a National Park this summer that your tax dollars are going towards paying a widow for her deceased husband’s old moose rifle which the government arbitrarily declared an assault rifle.

    5. Stop giving out free park passes to non-residents.

Loads of other countries charge non-resident tourists like double or triple resident rate to access parks.

      We need to do this.

They can subsidize us accessing outdoors. It should not be us with tax dollars subsidizing international tourists.
