Before anyone asks: this is the amount in coffee beans/grounds, meaning that it’s not a question of one portion of coffee being anything between an espresso and a huge mug of very mild brew.

Do the nordics drink so much coffee because of the dark winters?

Any particular reason why Hungary is so low compared to neighbouring countries?

As always, per capita statistics for Luxembourg are skewed. It’s a small country and a significant amount of people come from across the border to buy their coffee in Luxembourg because it’s cheaper.
Keep this fact in mind whenever you see a „per capita“ statistics about Luxembourg. They are *all* skewed and will give you a false image of this country.

If you weighted this by how strong the coffee is, Sweden’s number would be even higher!
