Louis Rossmann in Switzerland, didn’t expect that one
Because Windows 7 has a simple job, render that software. It’s not that much more complex.
So what is the point of complaining about the OS? Is there like a clear technical argument why this a bad idea for a display like this? Did someone notice these displays breaking all the time? Otherwise this is just some silly „yOu sUcK cAuSe yOu hAve wInDOws“ argument.
There is a golden rule in IT: don’t touch it if it works.
Because the companies involved are fucking clowns
Linux is the way 🐧🐧🐧
It is super easy to hate, but your personal opinion is worth shit as you have zero insights into why certain things are they way they are.
This is not critical infrastructure nor is it somehow a danger to the public.
The real issue I see here that it uses Germany German and not Swiss High German. So you know where the danger comes from!
And what a childish personal opinion it is … Like you have never seen the weighing machines in Migros get stuck in a reboot loop because of badly configured Linux installation? And this somehow tarnished the image of Switzerland? Grow up.
Some Bancomats (ATMs) are also still running their displays on Windows 7 or XP… funny.
Louis in Switzerland was definitely not on my bingo card…
When you see that you know that the IT and purchase department is pure joke
What a dumb clickbait title. It’s just a defective information panel, man.
