Jep grew up on bruin tafel beer, we had te big bottles on table for us kids to drink, and I am not even that old.

Ja, we hadden de grote fles voor stoofvlees en dan mocht ik een half glaasje aan tafel in een mosterdglas met smurfenprint . Als volwassene dronk ik eerder abdijbier en dacht ik lange tijd dat die piedbouef alcohol arm bier was. Tot ik het moest aanvullen in de supermarkt. „Wtf mijn ouders lieten mij echt bier drinken?!“ Lol.
I received this during daycare during the school holidays. You did have to be 10-12 years old, and the care was only up to 12 years. This happened in the early 2000s.
It’s not the same beer, but brasserie des fagnes still serves „cuvée junior“ for kids. Beer with 0,5% alcohol. Edit: wrong alcohol %

I remember using macaroni as a straw to drink it. Tasted a bit weird but I had fun

Yup, sometimes I still buy it out of nostalgia.
I brought cases of bruine Piedboeuf to LAN parties. Healthier than the cola and redbulls that others brought, but the downside is that I had to take a trip to the pissoir every 10 minutes.
My dad used to drink it well into his fourties every day of the week instead of soda. Even when he went back to work in the afternoon.

tafelbier at grandma, this was early 90s for me. We didnt get cola or fanta.
I’m a 90s kid and never had it. It seems like I went to the wrong school.
