This whole thing is kind of funny at face value. A not-much-liked reality star without any experience, supported by the MAGA side, losing a VERY blue city being the place that republicans draw the line is kind of funny.

But it’s also VERY scary. We can see the republicans going all-in on election denial. I don’t think they *really* care about the LA Mayoral election at all. They just want to start rattling their sabers about ‚election fraud‘ enough times so that it’s in everyone’s head come the midterms. They want people to believe it exists and is pervasive, so that they can then use it to not certify certain elections or throw out others.
That’s the real goal here. Not to get Pratt elected Mayor, but to throw another log on the conspiracy fueled fire of election denial, so they can fan that flame when they really need it to take actual action.
