It is impossible to say if the Russian military will collapse; it has so far confounded all previous predictions that it would. However, many of the conditions for collapse have been in place for a long time, and the most important one (logistics) is now trending in the wrong direction.

An important factor is that Ukraine is fighting for its survival, Russia is not.
The longer Russia keeps the war going the worse the long-term consequences will be.
Putin can keep going for a while still. He has had decades to entrench and internal security has been ramped up, but the trend is not in his favor. He can gamble on some external shock that could alter the dynamics, but not even Trumps presidency or war in the Middle East has been able to change the current trajectory.

    3. Untill we hear of more stories of soldiers refusing orders, or simply taking out their abusive commanders and mutiny we are just going to see the same thing over and over. That is untill it just becomes a forever war with grinding battle lines thwt just dont go anywhere. You need the man power and logistics to support a break through along with propaganda to hit the opposing civilians with. Ukraine is spot on with propaganda but it just seems the Russian population is just soooooooo apathetic towards anything they just really dont care. I’ve never seen such a numb apathetic population as the Russians in my life. Of course drugs and vodka can and will do a number on ya.
