To me it’s ridiculous how the current problems are literally what left wing policies aim to fix and yet the majority of people everywhere, not just Ireland, would not vote for them.

35% of FF voters approving of MM lol. 35% of his own party don’t approve of him.

Patrick O’Donovan on 6% is surprising, I can only presume it isn’t higher because not many people know about him.

Labour and the Greens really need some drastic changes. NílAonClú getting twice as much as them is embarrassing.

The fact only 28% of people would vote for a left-wing alliance despite 40% of people wishing to vote for a left-wing party suggests plenty of voters vote for a centre-left party in the hope they’ll coalesce with FF/FG and push the government in a centre-left direction rather than voting for a wholly left-wing government.
It would be interesting to see if faced with a direct choice between a left-wing government and a FF/FG one, would some centre-left voters switch their vote to FF/FG?

That Aontú is getting any support at all is not a good sign. I really hope that’s as much as they ever get.

I don’t see much difference in a lot of these parties. FF and FG are essentially the same so should have 35%. I also think SD, L, and G massively overlap too, with the one caveat that SD decided not to be pushovers and enablers for FFG after the last election, like L & G did in previous elections. They’d be on 18% if the 3 of them merged
At least we can stop pretending, Ireland is a morally humane country that cares about human rights globally.
If 41% of people are ok with a plant in Ireland supplying the Russian military with alumina so they can build more drones, and ballistic missiles and bomb more Ukrainian civilians, there really isn’t any hope.
Around the same % on the Israel game as well. 50% want the game to be boycotted, 46% say play it.
I’d be really interested to see the % of support from all the party voters.

Lol, 61% of the country disapprove of the current government, yet they’ll somehow still win the next election and nothing will change

I think Mary Lous time is done, if SF cant take advantage of the current unpopular government to get more than 20% of the vote then there approach is not working. Time to get a real left wing leader in charge, the people dont want another centrist traitor.

Shocking that transport isn’t a higher up issue, must be all pensioners voting in this. They aren’t shoved into buses or trains like cattle and spending 4 hours a day on the M50 going into work.

I want the left (SD, labour, greens) to come into power. However, I do not want SF in government in any way, shape or form because they have never stood by what they say, except for wanting the reunification of Ireland. If you want a prime example of this, look at their stance on trans rights up north.

By 2030, there will be a serious change of Government the old parties will be gone and a lot of ultra nationalist parties will be in power.
Its inevitable. These parties are growing at an alarming rate, history will repeat, as it is in Europe. Years of terrible government policies has the nation angry.
