Would someone think about the poor Italians? The poor Italians that also hosted Jeff Bezos wedding too. In Venice. Seems that money was good then and money is good now.

Can’t these people just have a quiet ceremony somewhere near where they grew up/live instead of inserting themselves into an entire community’s life.
They’re blowing this whole thing out of proportion. And it is time for the country to stop this crap from happening.
Destination marriages are fine but people should not be allowed to close off cities and whatnot for their private arrangements just because they’re rich.

I also hope that nobody messes with the event. If people want to change the way bookings and future events are done that’s fine. The price does seem pretty low. That said, they seem to have followed the rules as they currently are.
I kind of wish that islands like Sicily and cities like Barcelona got their way and never got a tourist again. How long would it take for the money to dry up, and the people living there to realize 99% of the income was tourism? For 1-2-3 years it would be paradise. After 5-10 maybe they would miss some of them, no?
