The best way to show the world’s economic leaders how safe and worthy of investment Russia is to have the presentations and talks with explosions and drone strikes just down the street from the event. That will surely build trust.

    2. And only putin is to blame after his unconditional refusal to meet and negotiate. I hope European politicians will now understand who they are dealing with…

Selensky provides the fireworks to close out Putin’s Economic Forum

    4. 3 day special military operation surely is going well. Doubling NATO borders, Lose Syria and their important warm ports, lose Venezuela as partners, lose Cuba and now Iran engulfed in a war, having hard time helping them, along with China having moved 2+ million citizens into outer manchuria, ready for the taking. Telling your people that you are not at war, later admitting that you are at war, Losing your navy to a country with no navy, getting your asses handed to you by Ukrainian farmers on a daily basis.

Truly the mastermind of Putler and Ruzzia

    5. Putin wanted to display strength in St. Petersburg.

Instead he looks like a sad clown whom no one wants to visit while his country explodes and burns around him.

I’m imagining Putin looking like Iraqui Information Minister.

“And as you can see, ladies and gentlemen, Russia’s thriving business such as our petrochemical indust -“ *kaboom* “- err, our aeronautics -“ *kaboom* “- uhh, … steel, then?” *kaboom* “… we have a pretty good tyre swing in the park. first ride’s on me. Thanks for coming”

    7. Putin will get very upset and send another 100k conscripts to be cannon fodder

Putin has spent years trying to make the war feel distant from everyday life in Russia.

Stories like this make that a lot harder.

    9. Fun fact, there is no St. Petersburg county, it’s called Leningrad county

Real neighbourly of Ukraine to provide the fireworks for the closing ceremony.

    11. Is Putin supposed to attend the event? Wouldn’t we expect proper anti air defences if Putin is to be exposed there with a semi predictable timeframe?

Otherwise good return over invested resources for Ukraine with both psychological and tactical hits.

This is like Age of empires when you have all your force in the front line attacking the enemy while all your economy is protected by a forest. Only to have your enemy come out of that forest and kill you villagers. Very similar here, most of the time you end up losing if your villagers are gone.
