I really like how Warsaw essentially had to rebuild itself from nothing, yet they managed to make a bigger and more modern city then before. It’s proof of the resilience and determination Polish people have.

I can get from the airport to the city centre by train, which isn’t so obwis in other Polish cities.

I wish you would answer seriously since I’m going to be in Warsaw in two weeks. Yes, I’m also going to Cracow, Gdansk and to the Hel Peninsula (family get together). 🙂 Last time I was in Warsaw I got COVID, so we did nothing, at all. Help an American (with a Polish mom and grandparents)! I’m also getting up there in years (and already had stupid cancer once) so this could be my last chance to see your wonderful country.

      gorka szczesliwiecka
      pola mokotowskie
      park skaryszewski
      wybrzeże szczecińskie
apart from that it is horrible
      (im from szczecin)

    6. The green areas: parks, forests and the area around the Vistula river. Although the skyline, especially when looking from left bank of the river, looks fantastic.

    7. its green spaces.

to elaborate: the suburban districts have always been full of greenery, but i think in recent years they really did great work around the city centre and made it into a more pleasant environment to take a walk or just chill with friends. i really like the big city vibe of warsaw, but i’m glad it’s not just a concrete jungle.

    8. Lubię moje historie rodzinne, dużo miejsc mi przypomina o moich przodkach, którzy tworzyli miasto przed wojną oraz walczyli o stolicę. W okresie dorastania byłem negatywnie nastawiony do miasta, wydawała mi się ponura i nudna w latach 90 gdy porównywałem z takim Londynem i Sztokholmem.

Whats up with all of that Warsaw propaganda Right now What will come next….

      Łodz ?!

    10. I don’t like a lot of things about Warsaw, but:

      – their public transport is admittedly the best in the country
      – they have Zapiecek-s
      – that they took the function of capital away from the arrogant self-obsessed assholes down in Kr*ków

    11. Warszawa Centralna, Warszawa Wschodnia and Warszawa Zachodnia – so you can go elsewhere.

Little bits and pieces of history scattered throughout the city, old tram tracks, bullet marks, lone gas lamp here and there. I like to walk around and collect these little remnants in my memory. 90% was rebuilt, but there are some small or even not so small glimpses of the past.

It’s the best of both worlds:
      1. It’s an actual city where you can eat cuisines from all around the world, go see a great opera and you have a great choice of jobs.
      2. It’s great to actually live in. It’s green, clean and safe, unlike many other cities like Paris or NYC.

Żabka hotdog with the Golden Mayo option. But seriously…, randomly, the eggs from Hala Mirowska, the pedestrian bridge over the Wisła, the bubble guy at Saski Garden, the selection at PIWOmaniaK, Marcellino..

So much hate, how moany of you actually lived here? It’s a great city if you like cities, if you don’t like cities then, well yeah, you won’t like it because it’s a big and modern city.

I love how it changed from when I was born (1998) till today. It show’s we’re a country at the top of the world currently.

You can visit other European capitals, and Warsaw is cleaner, safer, and just generally more pleasant to be in than majority of those other cities.

Top city, top country, not sure what you miserables are on about.
