Its herse. Its shredded chicken and whole wheat. A quick google search states the Greek Cypriot version is called Resi? And apparently we absorbed it into cuisine via the Levant too.

Is the man putting unnecessary effort
**Herse** (or **herise**), Cypriot style with Chicken, GC’s call it „resi“ and it is of Arabic origin **“herîse“** (هريسة).
But the Arabic version is different, I am not sure if they put chicken or cook it the same.
They are from Ayanni, Baf.
Oh Mah Gawd its Resi 😍
Question why do cypriots have to identify themselves as Turks or Greeks

Herse, served at weddings. Luxury version has pomegranate in it.
In Anatolia, we call this keşkek and is made for weddings as well.
