      Trump is way too toxic for Hollywood.

      Even if some of those people like UFC and may have even privately voted for Trump, there is little chance anyone of substance in Hollywood is going to go to this event.

      But are the attractive soldiers with the .55 Waist to Height Ratio still coming? I fully expect the new messaging to be that this event is actually for the troops and the country, not the elite.

      A listers were not attending MMA UFC events in the first place. This seems like history repeating by echoing the return of the very violent games of the coliseum and Circus Maximus under emperor Claudius which many mark as the beginning of the end of the Roman Empire…how convenient

      It’s the same pattern every time:

      – They try booking popular A-list talent

      – They decline or cancel shortly after accepting

      – Trump rages on social media, calling them “overrated” or claiming he’s never heard of them. Ending with something like “You know who’s better than them? ME!”

      And it’s treated like some kind of victory for America by the Republicans

      Trump loves to see himself as a big time celebrity. It has to piss him off when he realizes he’ll never be able to hang with people like Clooney, DeNero or Tarantino.

      Jon Favreau of Pod Save America had a pretty good story of being invited and then disinvited by the promotions company that owns UFC when they realized he wasn’t the star wars/marvel Jon Favreau, so these guys are putting out the invitations like their lives depend on it. (He said he was absolutely going to go if they hadn’t figured it out.)
