Der schwedische Premierminister Ulf Kristersson gab am 28. Mai bekannt, dass Schweden plant, 16 gebrauchte Saab JAS 39 Gripen C/D-Kampfflugzeuge in die Ukraine zu transferieren und Kiew bei der Beschaffung von bis zu 20 neueren Gripen E-Flugzeugen zu unterstützen.
"Die Ukraine hat den Gripen eindeutig als die vorrangige Wahl für ihre Luftwaffe auf lange Sicht identifiziert und beabsichtigt, die neueste Version, den Gripen E, zu erwerben." sagte Kristersson auf einer gemeinsamen Pressekonferenz mit Präsident Wolodymyr Selenskyj in Uppsala.

Ukraine helping Europe to build their own premier domestic fighter jets is probably the combo that will most concern US military contractors.
There’s a huge pipeline of equipment, material, parts and more that is tied to the dominance of the US fighter jets worldwide, and at this point there are only so many resources that the world’s militaries are going to be willing to put towards fighter jets at all anymore as drones grow in significance simultaneous to these major geopolitical shifts.

Hopefully, with meteor missiles with 200km range, to ward off Russian glide bomb attacks.
