    1. I am baffled that any country (besides the shitholes of course) would ask to join this…

    2. As Trump himself knows, it doesn’t actually cost anything to just say you’re going to do something

The whole thing was a money laundering set up. Nobody involved didn’t just obscenely line their pockets with the money of their own citizens. Again.

    4. Pledged vs actually committed funds. Big difference. This whole peace board is a joke anyway so I doubt anyone is actually contributing serious money to it.

      How is this possible!!!?
I’ve already donated over $30 Billion..

      Where is my money!?

    6. This must be the first time something with his name on it is scam or fraud.

    7. >Since the board was set up, its fund – administered by the [World Bank](https://www.france24.com/en/tag/world-bank/) and endorsed by the United Nations – has received no money from donors, the source familiar with the Board of Peace told AFP.

      >The source said money had not been deposited because the fund was designed for the reconstruction and development phase, which has not yet been reached.

      ….

      >The board is unambiguously led not just by the United States but personally by Trump, who holds the final say and can remain in charge past his presidency.

Give him money to build hotels branded with his name, after the bombing is done and the US/Israel controls the entire region.

Correct. People have figured out they only have to promise trump money to get what they want. They do t actually have to give it, he’s not smart enough to demand money first

If it ever had any funds in it they have almost certainly been siphoned off by the fraudster in chief. I cite his being banned in NY from participating in charities for doing exactly that. MAGA, whether you want to admit it or not, this is what you voted for and no, not one red cent will ever get to you. You might have owned us all but you’re going to get stolen from just like everyone else that has interacted with Trump

    10. Well someone got the money out of that pot.
Given the players in that group I don’t think there is a way to find one single thief

So he touts the join fee, nobody pays anyways, and the board of peace chooses to ignore bringing peace to Gaza.

      It makes perfect sense

It’s almost like pledges are about as concrete as farts in the wind.

    13. > The board is unambiguously led not just by the United States but personally by Trump, who holds the final say and can remain in charge past his presidency.

I wouldn’t give anything to this fund, if Trump had the final say, he’ll just build another arc or statue or the second biggest ballroom in the world.

    14. It got the PR that was needed.

They are launching so many attacks on the democracy and the minds of Americans by design.  The assaults are a bet that no one will remember this, because the next ten things will displace it in their minds.

    15. > … the board had received donations directly into a JPMorgan account

      > … There are no „independent transparency requirements“ in place for the JPMorgan account

      > … Trump previously said that the United States would contribute $10 billion to the board

      > … personally by Trump, who holds the final say and can remain in charge past his presidency.

      Aaaaaaaand there it is.

How much does a peace fund really need? A banana? How much is that? $100?

    17. Pledges that didn’t pan out? Or did this money „disappear“ as well?

    18. Trump learns pledging and actually paying are two different things.

How many countries pledged with minimal Intention to pay to shut him up I wonder?

    19. Is this money that was deposited and is now missing, or were the funds pledged (as in promised) but never deposited.
