Hallo zusammen, ich habe für Juli den ICE 9590 nach Paris gebucht, habe aber die obige E-Mail wegen einer Fahrplanänderung erhalten. Das war irreführend, denn der Zug fährt immer noch vom Südkreuz ab, nur zu einem früheren Zeitpunkt. Ich habe so oft versucht, die Leute, die ich über (SNCF) gebucht habe, zu kontaktieren und anzurufen, um zu fragen, ob mein Sitzplatz für diese frühere Abfahrtszeit noch reserviert ist, aber sie haben mir gesagt, dass sie mir keine Informationen geben können. Das ist nicht sehr hilfreich, weil auf der DB-Website der Zug ausgebucht ist und man nur mit Reservierung einsteigen kann.
Ich frage mich, ob ihr mir helfen könnt, die Tickets sind auf über 300 Euro gestiegen, daher ist eine Stornierung und Umbuchung für mich keine Option. Die andere Möglichkeit ist die Buchung einer Sitzplatzreservierung für den ICE 279, mit dem ich eine Verbindung zur gleichen 9590 in Frankfurt herstellen kann, aber ich glaube, ich verlasse mich darauf, dass es in diesem Fall keine Verspätungen gibt. Dank im Voraus.

If you’re in Germany I would probably go to the next train station and talk to the local info point. They’ll at least be able to clarify what the latest status is.
But unfortunately in my experience, the app will show cancelled/rerouted trains for a while even if it knows they’re not longer being served. I’ve booked tickets which the app considered feasible and at the same time told me the connection had already been cancelled.
ETA: often when they cancel Südkreuz, they only cancel Südkreuz and you can still get on at Hauptbahnhof or Gesundbrunnen.
Only cancel a ticket if you really dont wont to do the journey at all!!!

– Alternativly you could board that train at another station in Berlin, probably Hauptbahnhof.
– Second alternative if Zugbindung is no longer active: Use another train (earlier, later), sadly your seat reservation will be lost. But you can board the train without a valid seat reservation. In most cases you will find a free seat. Btw: You can also reserve a seat only for a new connection in the ticketing system the same day.
You can use your tix to take any earlier DB train for the Berlin–>Frankfurt Hbf portion to catch ICE 9590 to Paris Est. Your tix already has seat reservation on ICE 9590 which is valid for the Frankfurt Hbf–>Paris Est ride. Save this email to show DB conductor, no need to contact SNCF.
Given how unreliable DB is, I would take the 5:30 ICE 593 to get to Frankfurt Hbf at 9:44, just to be sure I can get on ICE 9590. Frankfurt Hbf has many food options while you wait.
