$86B seems a little too good to be true. But either way both options sound amazing and I’m curious to see which one we go with.

Also, it’s really good to see that Germany would be willing to invest in the port of Churchill to expand LNG trade, especially after yesterdays news about agreeing to purchase canada LNG from BC. I just don’t know how reliable the Port of Churchill can be for consistent LNG exports but if they are willing to contribute financially, and ideally agree to purchase some LNG in the future, then that would be amazing.

      >The manufacturer is proposing two maintenance facilities be constructed — one on either coast — with blueprints from an existing centre that’s been established in Norway. The company has also signed teaming agreements with four Indigenous development organizations.
      >
      >The information [viewed by CBC] shows another part of the proposal calls for the establishment of manufacturing centres to build heavy torpedoes and anti-torpedo systems, as well as the potential for a facility to test and maybe build hypersonic missiles.
      >
      >The company wants to build the submarine propulsion and batteries in Canada, as well.

      >Outside of the military aspects, the German government is proposing major investments in the Port of Churchill, Man., to help get critical minerals and liquified natural gas to market. It also wants to establish a carbon capture facility in a joint venture with the province of Alberta.

The Germans know how to play the Canadian procurement game, pitching investments spread out over the country like this. The [Korean bid](https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/hanwha-canada-automotive-manufacturers-9.7181543) focuses more on leveraging the auto industry, which at first glance is possibly more impactful but concentrates the benefit in Ontario.

People are finally going to wake up to how brilliant Carneys defense spending increases was .literally a ecconomic and socail psychology masterclass move.

This move by him early in the game is exactly why when the government pitches a sovereign wealth fund , funded by debt im willing to listen .

Carney is reviving ecconomics and trade diplomacy in canada , he is not just fundamentally changing the federal liberal party , hes fundamentally changing all of our governments .

The new ecconomic talent alone that will be attacted into government positions from the changes being made will benefit Canadians no matter what party they represent.
