This is now the earliest 35C ever in the UK by a whole *month*. 1976, the year that boomers will wheel out in any and all situations to „disprove“ climate change, didn’t reach this temperature until 26 June

Predicting quite a few more weather records to be broken this year. AI Datacentres pumping out heat, and using up water is only going to ~~exasperate~~ exacerbate the problem in the following years.

We had the wettest winter on record, I bet you this year’s autumn will start early (if not earlier) as it did last year, you’ll see trees stressing and dropping leaves by Sept.
Berries will fruit much earlier, birds will be super confused, then we’ll just have excessive rainfall again and everything plant wise you thought hardy will go to rot and fail 😂 Cheery stuff to come!
One of the anti-climate change lies that I’ve seen trying to rationalise all the increasing temperatures and records is that the seasons have shifted, and Summer is just getting later.
This has been the counter to that – not only is the world getting hotter consistently, it’s happening across every season, and temperature records are being broken year-on-year, in every season.
Not only is it getting worse, but it’s getting worse quicker. And there are no solutions in sight. This country doesn’t have the infrastructure for extreme heat, especially when it comes in waves.
We now require homes and cities that can handle extreme dry spells, extreme wet spells, heatwaves, and cold snaps. And we need to be able to retrofit that to places that were built around a steadier, more reliable climate.
And the way the next general election is likely to go, that isn’t happening. Drill, baby, drill, all the way to the end.
With ever increasing temperatures my family history of skin cancer is looking at me licking its lips.
Summers when I was kid in the 80s and 90s a hot day had temperatures in the region of mid to late 20’s, and that was in July and August, not May. To hit 30 was extremely rare. To see what would have one been freak temperatures becoming normal is extremely worrying.

I honestly don’t see how humanity will escape climate change. Every year is setting new records now and we’re still emitting more and more carbon emissions. The future isn’t looking good.
I’ve listened to excited news presenters seem jolly about this. I’m the opposite.

Technically every time a record is broken it has been broken AGAIN.
Just get multi ac units and it’s all good. Yes it’s climate change, yes it’s going to get worse, but at least enjoy it while you can. That’s my motto
If it carrys on all the arthritic pensioners wont have to go sit in spain for half the year. They could then spend some of that hard won state pension in our economy.

Pisses me off how literally everyone accepts climate change is happening *except* the political class. Everyone is just getting ready for climate change as an inevitable fact whilst politicians do a big charade of pretending it’s still up for debate to appease the idiot voters who like to feel powerful.
It feels like when you give a child a fake steering wheel in a car so they can feel big and important. Except in our case, the steering wheel is real, and all the adults can do is get ready for the inevitable crash.
What if it gets even warmer in July? Genuinely concerning for people’s safety.

The fact they were able to predict this all so accurately 50 years ago. And they ALREADY CONCLUDED THAT after 450 or 500ppm SOCIETY WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ADAPT TO THE CHANGES! is truly the definition of the word astonishing

50 years ago they were able to predict our CO2 levels of 2026, so accurately.
