Iran is threatening to abandon a major deal with the US over the release of billions in frozen assets. Tehran insists on accessing these funds in the first phase, stalling months of negotiations and raising fears about Gulf tensions and energy market instability.

I kind of wonder if Trump / the media is treating this war like a reality TV show. There are “dramatic news” every day just to keep “viewers” glued to their screens (or shoved down our throat), when really, not a lot new is happening.

War and diplomacy both takes time and right now it’s just a standstill in my opinion.

Maximum pressure hasn’t exactly worked wonders, has it? It’s more likely to backfire, empowering hardliners and pushing Iran closer to nuclear breakout. A deal, even a flawed one, buys us time and provides some level of oversight. Walking away completely just cedes control and lets Iran do whatever it wants.

Negotiations stall, but the operational reality: Jebel Ali and Dubai South kept cargo moving despite Hormuz disruptions. Our trade infrastructure held under live conditions. That’s the metric that counts.
