So do we wait for Tuesday when Iran says they haven’t a clue what the us is talking about

A senior U.S. official said the mechanism by which Iran would dispose of its highly enriched uranium was still being negotiated. Mr. Trump has insisted that the United States seize the material as part of his vow to curb Iran’s nuclear program. The agreement hinges on reopening the Strait of Hormuz and addressing Iran’s nuclear program, specifically the disposal of enriched uranium.

Let me guess, antebellum status quo with nominal concessions Trump will spout as victory despite claiming to have achieved them already twenty times since last year?

Agreeing „in principle“ sounds like having „Concepts of a plan“.

Nuclear non-proliferationists have known for decades that if a nuclear exchange were to occur, it is not going to be between the US and Russia or China. It is going to be between India and Pakistan, or Iran and Saudi Arabia (for example). IRGC leaders are thinking that a bomb would make them safer, but in reality it will just lead to all of their neighbors acquiring atomic weapons also, and then they will never sleep peacefully again.

If any party is irrational enough to actually use a nuclear weapon against humanity in the modern age, the smart money would be on some blow up in the Sunni/Shia rivalry. Under the IRGC regime, Iran is just insane enough to share nuclear technology with Hamas and Hezbollah. So, I say we stay the course. I am willing to pay more for gas today to have a better future.
