This would require the Democratic Party to have balls, which they’ve proven they do not.

Is there any movement in the US to do away with districts altogether to stop gerrymandering in either direction?

It’s possible in any state which is >60% Democratic

Splitting the Eastern shore like that is hilarious, but if it gets Harris out I don’t really care.

Isn’t that how First Past the Post works? If Democrats get 60% of the vote in Maryland, it makes sense for them to get 100% of the seats.
Or does MAGA suddenly want proportional representation?

Pass it. Get rid of Andy Harris at all costs.

Doing the tentacles out from the city thing is too obvious, whenever democrats try this it gets reversed.
You need to gerrymander in a more subtle way.

I find it somehow less than convincing that OP chooses to use 2016 prez election data. That was more than two presidential election cycles ago. Show me the same map with the same strength with ‘24 data.

That’s what all democratic gerrymanders look like.

Our state senate president refuses to even let discussion happen for this

Let’s hand our descendants a country in which there is 0 democracy whatsoever. Only gerrymandering, only corruption

I Don’t think that’s contiguous so I don think it would be legal. Here is what my version would be: Each seat voted for harris by >15%

I’d like to see a gerrymander of every state going both ways just to see the wild maps
I mean most of the Eastern ones have the Chesapeake Bay cutting them in half.
Now do Illinois and California.
it’s wild how maps can shift power so much
