„South Park“ hatte nur einmal vor, sich über Trump lustig zu machen, bis der Widerstand sie dazu brachte, ihren Kurs zu ändern: „Wer ist jetzt der Tyrann?“

They had it in their contact if they got fired they would get billions there’s nothing that can happen to them without tanking the network.

They played the game very well.

      Parker:

      > “We were just going to do that first show with the Trump stuff. We laid into him so hard, and the thing became: ‘Well, who’s the bully now?’ It became this just totally juvenile joke of like, ‘We’re not gonna stop. We’re going to do it every single week.’ Even when everyone’s like, ‘OK, guys, move on,’ [we’re] like, ‘Nope, we’re not moving on. We’re going to keep going, going, going.’”

As the audience broke into applause, he added, “That became the joke.” Parker said of uproar from Trump’s supporters, “To me, that was the whole season, was that they kept reacting, and we were like, ‘Well, God damn it. All right, we’ll do it some more.’”

I love how they’re trolling every casual or fan who cries „wah wah, leave trump alone“/ „stop being political“.

    4. I think they might be eligible for the Nobel Prize in Literature if they publish the episodes in storyboard or teleplay format or something.

      Could you imagine Trump’s face?

I have got to say, the „he’s literally fucking Satan“ was such an amazing play on words. And his MAGA/Fox crowd embracing that immediately was just icing on the cake.

Dude, they literally ruined South Park with this shit. Worst season ever. Go back to making silly storylines. I’m so sick of Trump and politics in what should be a funny entertaining show that takes me away from all that shit.

My problem with this is it kills the re-watchability of the episodes. I always go back to seasons 8-15 because the episodes were mostly one0offs and sometimes about something fun in pop culture. It’s easy to go back and watch them 10 years later. I don’t think i’ll watch many of the trump episodes in 10 years. They’re funny at the time, but i don’t really enjoy watching them again

I love that there are no sacred cows on South Park. These guys are heros

    9. The administration formally responded after the first episode came out, which is wild.

Except the joke got old, 8 years ago. The most recent South park stuff is trash and I’m a huge fan. Loved all the specials, but talk about beating a dead horse. It’s not even funny. It’s not original. It’s just forced at this point.  Tregridy farms was better

Same thing happened with the Lorde jokes. Was apparently a throwaway at the end of the episode originally.

    12. My favourite bit was the story of the penis in the trump AI video. Paramount told them off for having a penis in the episode, so they gave it googly eyes and said it’s a character now 🤣

This kinda shit is the only reason South Park is the only long running show that’s still good imo. Not always, but when it hits it hits HARD

    13. You can get too caught up with Trump but he keeps making perverse decisions that need to be mocked and called out.

I don’t care about Trump but the quality definitely went down over the years. But them focusing on Trump so much for so many seasons it stopped South Park From having the same rewatchability as earlier seasons. Especially since they stopped doing nearly as many one-off episodes that were always the best
