The funding that was cut wasn’t created to protect the US from a pandemic. It was designed to offer aid to Africa and much of the money couldn’t be accounted for so it was halted .
Ebola isn’t even a concern as a pandemic disease bc it isn’t airborne . It spreads through blood, vomit, and feces. Meaning out reaks are localized . And this has been an ongoing disease in Africa for many…many years
People want to equate this to coronavirus which is one of the 5 viruses that cause the common cold. It being a global pandemic wasn’t on anyone’s radar except under the circumstances that it could potentially become a bio weapon. And many virologists and scientists maintain that theory today
