    1. I’d be interested to see the aftermath. I’m assuming those munitions aren’t inert until activated? If so, this has to do more damage than to just the individual launcher it hit…

    2. There is a different video of a Iron Dome Launcher getting hit, then the next day a maintenance crew gets hit replacing it.

I think we’re gonna see a noticeable surge of counter small drone innovation. China has figured out a suitcase sized ytterbium doped fiber laser that will be perfect for these use cases where the opportunity to engage is only a few seconds and the range is so short. Australia and the US have deployed suitcase sized lasers too.

Other countries like Israel can figure it out too provided that they invest into that R&D.

In the near future, we’ll likely see a lot of these small lasers. One for each column, checkpoint, outpost, etc. along with better sensors and intelligence methods that address these drones‘ ability to terrain mask so well.

    4. This will end up badly for Lebanon

Missile defense is what keeping Israel from responding way more aggressively

Imagine if something like this had been coordinated with Iran.

Like mass FPV strikes vs the Iron Dome and Davids Sling before the missiles started flying.

No hydraulic lines. I’d wager to bet it’s a decoy but frankly we can’t be sure.

Thats more like it. If they can prioritize targets of high value, I would stop calling it amateur hour.
