I have mine covered front and back on my phone. I got a phone case with a sliding cover, and I bought little sliding covers for the front.
I started doing this two years ago as an experiment to see if it would affect my algorithms tbh, now I’m just used to them being there. I can slide the cover to open if I have to FaceTime.

As for this goob, well, typical.

Because Israel is smarter than the average bear when it comes to cybersecurity…. They fund all the surveillance shit. Surprised they don’t have their own enterprise phones

    3. Almost all government phones that are iPhones come without a functioning camera

    4. I’m not important at all and I have always covered my work phone and computer lenses

There are jobs out there that make you cover your cams up on your phone for the sake of protecting IP or company designs

Because all our phone are watching us at all times and I imagine Netanyahu would have a lot of people interested in getting access to that footage

Because he knows first hand what mossad/CIA are capable of. You’re delusional if you don’t think they can watch you through every camera in your house

    8. Yes, I think we all need to do this! I had to interact with someone associated with an intelligence agency once, and from you know where (not the land of George Washington, but the other place you’re thinking of, if you follow my drift) and they left their iPhone and my boss left their iPhone outside of the office so nothing would get picked up…

Because he knows there are software that can take snapshots from your cameras and pinpoint your exact location using AI.

    10. I used to work in film. Big name shoots would force us to do this or leave our phones in our cars. That was more to prevent any leaks but I’d assume this is more for people hacking phones

Years ago, Mark Zuckerberg said he did. He was like of course the fuck I do

the OGs in this sub, we all do it (both cameras) 🕵🏻‍♂️🕵🏻‍♀️

I’m in cybersecurity sales and many of our customers require us to do this when we visit them onsite. This is not uncommon.

    14. I fully believe there are hidden cameras under all our screens anyways so they can track our eye movements,so they know what on the screen we are looking at.

      So covering them is pointless.

I remember i posted it awhile back ago and people kept saying it was AI… but its not lol

    16. because there are hardware backdoors quite literally built into the chips. doesnt matter what ur phones „privacy“ settings are… you can have the damn thing off and they can still turn them on.

…and a person of his standing has so many threat vectors_ theres no telling who or when they might like to eavesdrop.

They have cases for that. No need for ugly stickers. I think he can afford it lol

So i get covering the camera but what im curious to know is why the RED tape/film.

Wonder if it has something to do with cameras being able to pick up infrared wavelengths even when covered by regular tape

    19. They make you do this at Honda for security purposes I’m pretty sure they have more security protocols than an automotive plant but yeah
100% because they record every second of every camera and microphone of everyone and store it in the giant NSA building in Utah. Been doing it since 2001 or before. Watch the Edward Snowden movie it’s all public knowledge for those paying attention.

I think its pretty obvious isnt it. Anyone can watch you if they want to.

    21. Artistic_Strange444 on

I keep mine taped up. Seems weird that everyone else is so comfortable with it

    22. The answer is that he probably has multiple phones and this is not the super secure one. He can be careful what he says on it, like not leaking info, but you don’t want the camera seeing things like documents, people, etc.

What is even the conspiracy? Hes one of the most hated people on the planet, there are a lot of people who would love to be able to track him and capture information from his cameras
