Amerikaner hier. (Entschuldigung). Wie auch immer, ich habe das Gefühl, dass es ein Minikamin oder so etwas ist. Es befindet sich im Hauptschlafzimmer und im Wohnzimmer einer Wohnung. Kann jemand meinen unkultivierten Geist aufklären?

This is where you put children in when they’re sick, light a fire inside, and pray. Works every time.
Piec kaflowy – masonry heater
It’s an old style „fire place“. This whole thing was getting hot and warming up the place.
That’s a piec kaflowy

It is old style fireplace/furnace. Probably old apartement, and it most likely not used anymore, but yeah, not easy thing to take apart.

5,000 B.C. my dear American friend 😁
> Anyway, I feel like its a mini fireplace or something.
Basically correct – it’s a masonry heater. Really old stuff. Some of them were getting converted to electric way back, but I can’t say for sure if this one has been or not.
Just oldschool hearth aka non-centralized heating. Most possibly not in service now.
That’s a feet warmer, or GOAT

It’s masonry heater. Back in the day this was an only way to heat houses and cook. You put wood in and make a fire, it carries heat very well throughout whole building.
If you decide to go to some of the museums here you might stumble upon one of these but more ornate and fancy looking
A dead mummified first owner of the place. This is a custom we have to respect our elders.
It’s a tiled stove. It heats up and keeps the warmth for a long time. These are very common in Poland and Ukraine.
People are trying to cover up the real story, Polish people build those around a dead body when they can’t let go of their dead. Don’t worry though, the body is well preserved
It’s a coal stove used to heat the room, used to be common in old buildings, nowdays you don’t see them so often. How did americans used to heat their homes if not with sth like this?
Coal fired heater , loaded up adjust the flue and it would keep you warm all night . The only bitch was logging buckets of coal from the basement in my case 3 stories up as a kid . 😂 Actually this is a small version of one mine was much bigger .
Soul eater. U put a infant through that door. And u could get some bonus from chaos goods 👍. But be careful…
That’s where you smoke the kiełbasa
Butelkomat
The best heating solution you can ever get. Will survive anything. Piec kaflowy.
Yeah, you are supposed to go into the woods to gather some lumber, to heat the flat. That is what we do here.
a real wonder
Enjoy it. It’s an old heating technology that is now trendy and valuable. In new construction, this kind of feature is priced quite highly.
It is an old, coal or wood fired, masonry heater. My grandparents had one in the bedroom. It was the greatest thing to lean agains (carefully) after coming into the house on a cold winter’s day.
It was filled with fire brick on the interior that and absorbed the heat from the fire. After that it would radiate it back into the room for hours.
This is piec kaflowy
